Daihatsu 1300cc 16v efi.....1998
Hiya, i am having problems with overheating on my van, theres no leaks but my reservoir bottle is always full, the pipe that goes into the bottle seems to blow rather than suck up water? Where abouts is the thermostat.....?

Bet its the head gasket, thats why the bottles full of coolant and your cylinder head isn't.
Could also be a cracked cylinder head or a failed water pump. My moneys on the head gasket, you can get tester fluid that changes colour if there is exhaust gases in the water.
I think someone on here is running their hijet without a thermostat, this is a very bad idea as the engine will never get to temp and it will cause even bigger expansion/contraction related failings!

By the way be careful how you resolve this lot... because the radiator hoses go under the footwell it is easy to end up with air locks in the system.
You could take it all apart, replace the water pump, skim the head and rebuild with new gaskets only to drive it 100 miles and be back to square one with it over heating and the same problems as now. I think a few vans have been scrapped due to this cycle. The key is to do it right and only once, not a rush job, or a job by some dumb ass garage spanner monkey. 90% of all mechanics are a waste of labour!
Hope this is helpful, not scaremongering!
