Should have asked on here first, 1.3 does not go into a 993.

Not unless you are up for a Mental Breakdown. We did have one pillock on here several years ago who reckoned that he and his mate had done the complete swap.
When I started asking questions about how he had gotten over certain problems like mounting points in the chassis and other issues and asked him to post pictures of the conversion.
Strangely enough he dissapeared off the Forum never to be heard of again.

Hi,
OT ... but you said it first.
1966, HMS Eagle went into Singapore for repairs. Her jet fighters were dispersed at various airfields around the Far East. Two arrived at RAAF Butterworth. Pilots asked where they could park them. They were given directions ... out through the South gate, turn right, follow the main North-South highway, turn into the North gate. So they folded their wings, cruised up the public highway on their jets.
At that time, the Ozzies were fighting in Viet Nam. Butterworth was equipped with "White Mice" (F86 Sabres). According to the local newspaper, 33 Squadron (RAF) aircraft were "fitted with surface to air missiles". Being polite, us RAF types didn't point out their mistake. All our aircraft WERE Bloodhound SAMs. None took off while I was there. The RAF were NOT fighting in Viet Nam.
Where's RAAF Butterworth? I caught the Penang ferry, to work, every morning. SWMBO still says I never take her anywhere.
