Headlights 1996 hijet.
Failed mot today caused by a bad reflector in Headlight.
Is there a solution to fix the reflector or does anyone have a pair of good headlights?
Shipping no problem to the netherlands

Apparently it's not that easy to find a pair new/good ones. This might be your best bet...

Brand spanking new ones are available for £18 each from Powerful UK. Part number HL 109, LH Dip though but you could take your glass off of your headlights by heating the glass up.
Take the glass off the new ones and stick you RH Dip glass on with Polyurethane - NOT SILICONE. Job done.

Don't be put off by them listed as Bedford Rascal. The 993cc Hi-Jet uses the same headlights

Another thing to bear in mind if swopping your glass onto the new reflector you can cut your old reflector up into manageable strips with tin snips, and peel the bits off, if you don't want to use the heating method.
If you break the new glass, cutting it off with a Stanley Knife and heat, it doesn't matter too much, as long as you avoid cutting yourself. Just as long as you get your RH Dip glass off undamaged. As I said before, don't use SILICONE. It is rubbish. Polyurethane Sealer/Adhesive is the best product and sticks almost anything to anything else. I haven't tried it on the Mother in law's mouth yet - but given enough time - - - -

Bargains don't come much better than that do they Dennis. Transforms the front of your Hi-Jet though, especially with yours being black.
But there has been one better bargain a couple of years ago. Cargo Load Shelfs to fit in the rear of Hijet Vans.
They were genuine Daihatsu and cost over £100 with vat. IMParts in Birmingham were selling them for £15 each delivered. Crazy money. I bought 5 of them and got another one with a van I bought for £150. Sold 3 of them for £50 each, used one and still got two boxed ones left. Luckily they are here at home in the roof of my garage. Have found 5 thermostat housings and several starters and 6 alternators. Just peed off that I lost over 30 good tyres and rims as well as most of all the electronic stuff and all the van rear lights. Oh well got a few vans and couple of Pickups to break for spares if I get desperate for something to do.

Re: Headlights 1996 hijet.
found me a pair at a local carshop, it is a kind of standard lampunit, used in several brand cars, the main important part is the small metal frame the lamp is clamped into, if that one is broken, it is hard to find.
I was done for 50 euro, 2 headlights brandnew, ive made a complete fotoreport, will update it soon for a ''how to change a pair of headlights''
