newbies hijet 1.2 diesel

Hi all just to say me and jeanie are proud owners of 1995 hijet 1 .2 diesel loving the quirky feeling planning first sleep end of April noticed after purchase temp guage not working advice or cost to fix thanks in advance alan ps great site

Get that gauge sorted ASAP.

Hijets are really prone to overheating problems, without the gauge you a blissfully unaware of the hijet owners biggest fear!

We all sit there in stop start traffic watching our gauges and listening for the fan to kick in Smile

If might be the dash board gauge itself, or the sensor in the head, or the wiring.

My other worry is that you may have bought one with overheating issues but someone has been messing with the gauge. At a guess I would say 4 out of 5 people buy Hijets with overheating issues.
