Re: Query about using Paypal.
I am just picking up the phone now. I can only go back 3 transactions
But the postage on that is £30. Thanks for your tenacity Matt. Very much appreciated. Will let you know if I get anywhere as soon as I come of the phone.

Yippe!!! Yahooo. How weird that with a bit of memory jogging I get --- " Oh dear yes Sir I can what's happened "-- but wouldn't elaborate. "I have seen to that now Sir and it shouldn't happen again."
Fantastic!! My account is £74 better off now.
Thank you to all of you who have contributed suggestions. As usual Matt I owe you one mate.

Like you woody, at an age now that you will never change what people think of you so why bother.

Re: Query about using Paypal.
As Logi pointed out Gumtree is owned by them too as I noticed at the
Bottom of the EBay page yesterday in the list of companies that they own.
I am going to check every time I receive a payment
now. Perhaps it would be a good idea for everyone who first signs up to EBay to double check it out.
Some of the tricks companies get up to with new unsuspecting customers are terrible. My son flatly refused to use one of the cons his new company got up to and because of his honesty he shortly got a promotion and £3000 a year pay rise because they knew that they could trust him.

Re: Query about using Paypal.
I like it better now I have got my dosh back. Trouble is no matter how safe the banks and Financial Institutions try and make their online or Hole In The Wall Services -- there is ALWAYS a more astute Criminal out there that can go one better than them .
It's a bit like keeping up with The Jones really. Someone has always got to go one better.

luckily my bank coverd the loss as there were others from the same whole in the wall but it took a cpl of weeks which left me without money as neither myself or son can work through disabilties so had to borrow to tide us over something which i hate doing
